The lawn is treated as a monoculture, despite the fact that various species of grass grow on it. A good lawn should grow in fairly compacted soil, which is achieved by special treatments. Admittedly, the grass will grow well in loose soil, but cannot be walked on, much less mow with its tools. Walking on such a lawn severely damages the plants, yet the lawn is there for that, to walk on it, go, to run. So it must have a fairly hard surface, that it would not be destroyed. upper, the compacted layer of soil, however, must not be too tight, for the grasses would suffer from lack of oxygen. Optimum degree of compaction, allowing you to walk on this green carpet without leaving any traces, is achieved by rolling it with a roller of a width 1 m and mass 125 kg. It is also worth adding, that you can only walk on the lawn after the rain, when it is sufficiently dry.
